Kehelland Horticultural Courses & Visits

Working Together

In the provision of training and work experience in horticululture for adults with a learning and or physical disability, Kehelland works in partnership with Cornwall College Camborne's specialist Foundation Studies department.

In addition to the valuable social skills that working and socialising together through the day offers, trainees are able to gain qualifications and skills that improve their confidence and could enable them to go on to gain permanent employment within the horticulture industry. This vocational training combines both theoretical and practical work.

Not only does the centre provide training and work experience, it is also run as a commercial business in its own right. The public can visit the Centre and buy a wide range of products including trees, shrubs, conifers, heathers, herbaceous and alpine plants and vegetables. There are soft fruits, dried flowers, bedding plants, house plants, hanging baskets, window boxes and much more.

We would be pleased to provide your organisation with guided tours, talks and demonstrate working practices at Kehelland. Light refreshments will be provided. Let us know what subject matter is the most appealing to suit your membership.

Visits welcome May to September inclusive.
